Petite Campus Library

The Petite Campus Library is a reformulation of an existing library in the suburbs of Syracuse which creates a central interior courtyard for community events. The existing library is a critical hub of activity for the neighborhood which is comprised of a young demographic, many with children. By separating the programmatic masses, the library takes full advantage of the large site, its composition creating an additional interstitial space between each of the enclosed rooms by which all of them are connected. What results is a communal space which can be flexibly used by a diverse community of users.
